High River Food Resources December 2018

High River Food Connections is a High River based initiative intended to help reduce food insecurity in our community.  We piloted this Summer and have implemented a number of programs to assist students during school breaks.  Could you please share the following information with with your students before they go for Christmas break:

LUNCH IN A CRUNCH: Students in need located in High River can text (or call) the word 'lunch' to 587-401-7484 to receive information on where they can pick up free, anonymous lunch.  This program operates Monday-Friday, 9am-3 pm, Dec. 21-Jan. 4 (closed Dec. 25th).

PARTNERSHIP PANTRY: Is a fridge full of snacks located at the High River library open during library hours.  Food is provided thanks to the High River United Way Partnership.
